Accessible Travel in South America

Traveling in countries outside of the United States can be challenging for those who use wheelchairs or can’t walk long distances.  As a travel professional, I am always looking for resources to help my clients travel to their desired destination. I am sponsoring upcoming webinars in Frebruary for those interested in learning about some fully accessible destinations. Webinars open to those living in the U.S.

Yellowstone National Park

This past summer, I went to Yellowstone National Park with my family. Old Faithful was on our must see list. It erupts about every hour or a little more than that so you will want to check the schedule inside the building near the hotel for the schedule. Then, you can walk around looking at the other geyser’s and not waste time.

We saw bears from a distance and had the thrill of one walking right past our car! There were plenty of other wildlife to see and take pictures of and we even had a squirrel snatch a plastic bag that fell on the ground and he got it before we did.

The weather was perfect and there are many places to stay in the park and the surrounding areas. There isn’t cell coverage within the park unless you are near or in a building with it so you can truly enjoy the great outdoors!
